Tuition is based on total STUDENT hours per week and is paid monthly. All accounts are required to be setup for Autopay, using the credit card provided upon registration. Autopay is processed on the first business day of each month (September-May). Tuition is considered late after the 10th of the month, and a $20.00 late fee per family will be charged to your account if past-due. WE DO NOT INVOICE UNLESS AN ACCOUNT BECOMES DELINQUENT.
The first tuition installment and family registration fee are processed at time of enrollment to save your dancer’s place in their class(es).
Non-refundable registration fee and first installment of payment plan is due upon registration.
There is a $25.00 fee for any checks returned by the bank.
Written notice of intent to cancel enrollment is required two weeks in advance of intended end date. Please email email@example.com with your cancellation request. There is no refund for tuition due, or paid, in the month the class is dropped.
If your account becomes 61 days past-due, your dancer(s) will be automatically dropped from all classes. Dancers with four consecutive absences in an individual class will be automatically withdrawn unless prior excusal has been granted. Regardless of dancer(s) attendance, tuition for the months enrolled is still owed, NO exceptions.
Proper dance attire enables the student to fully participate in class and to maintain a disciplined attitude towards dance studies. Dancers not dressed in accordance to Backstage Dance Studio DRESS CODE requirements will not be allowed to continue to participate in classes or performances.
Regular attendance in class is encouraged to ensure student progress. If a class is missed, students are encouraged to make up the absence in a class of similar age and level. For the 2021-2022 School Year, make-up classes must be completed in the same month the original class is missed. Students who continually miss class may not be eligible to participate in our annual Spring Show, as the students learn new choreography each week and it is easy to fall behind when attendance is inconsistent.
As the state of Washington has moved into Phase 4 of the COVID re-opening plan and vaccination rates in King County are quite high, our current COVID guidelines and masking requirements follow:
We will not require masks for those that are fully vaccinated. Those that are not fully vaccinated should continue to wear masks at all times while in classrooms, studio lobbies, etc.
All teachers and staff at Backstage Dance Studio have been fully vaccinated and may choose not to wear masks in the classrooms or elsewhere in the studio.
We recognize that children ages eleven and younger have not had the opportunity to receive an approved vaccination. Therefore, all children under the age of eleven will be required to wear masks, and classes with children in this age range will have more limited class sizes, allowing for proper social distancing of students during dance classes.
As has been the policy throughout the past year, parents are required to notify the staff if their dancer becomes ill, has been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or who has tested positive for COVID-19 themselves.
Our COVID masking plan is subject to change as state and federal guideline change, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate these (still) ever-changing times!
