Studio Policies
Payment Information
Tuition is based on total STUDENT hours per week and is paid monthly. All accounts are required to be setup for Autopay, using the credit card provided upon registration. Autopay is processed on the first business day of each month (September-May). Tuition is considered late after the 10th of the month, and a $20.00 late fee per family will be charged to your account if past-due. WE DO NOT INVOICE UNLESS AN ACCOUNT BECOMES DELINQUENT. The first tuition installment and family registration fee are processed at time of enrollment to save your dancer’s place in their class(es). Non-refundable registration fee and first installment of payment plan is due upon registration. There is a $25.00 fee for any checks returned by the bank.
Cancellation/Drop Policy
Written notice of intent to cancel enrollment is required two weeks in advance of intended end date. Please email [email protected] with your cancellation request. There is no refund for tuition due, or paid, in the month the class is dropped. If your account becomes 61 days past-due, your dancer(s) will be automatically dropped from all classes. Dancers with four consecutive absences in an individual class will be automatically withdrawn unless prior excusal has been granted. Regardless of dancer(s) attendance, tuition for the months enrolled is still owed, NO exceptions.
Dress Code
Proper dance attire enables the student to fully participate in class and to maintain a disciplined attitude towards dance studies. Dancers not dressed in accordance to Backstage Dance Studio Dress Code requirements will not be allowed to continue to participate in classes or performances.
Class Make-Ups
Regular attendance in class is encouraged to ensure student progress. If a class is missed, students are encouraged to make up the absence in a class of similar age and level. For the 2021-2022 School Year, make-up classes must be completed in the same month the original class is missed. Students who continually miss class may not be eligible to participate in our annual Spring Show, as the students learn new choreography each week and it is easy to fall behind when attendance is inconsistent.
COVID-19
Current COVID policies available HERE. Our COVID masking plan is subject to change as state and federal guideline change, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate these (still) ever-changing times!
